  • Forms of Rockin’ focuses on traditional graffiti letterforms and visual trends between 1971–1989 from the perspective of graphic design and type design. In the research the characteristics of letterforms are defined with methods of type design by comparing them to the visual trends of the time. In the creative section the evolution of the letterforms is displayed through the use of animation.

The key finding from the study is that traditional graffiti letterforms are a mirror of popular culture and reference predominant ideals and values from a certain time period.
