  • My thesis investigates the feasibility of the AaltoRO concept, in which the goal is to produce fresh water from seawater by using wave power. The operating principle is that a Wave Energy Converter pressurises seawater which is directed to an onshore reverse osmosis facility. There salt is separated from seawater, thus producing fresh water. My research proved that the AaltoRO concept is economically viable.
