Mistaken Soundtrack (Image credits: Atte Karttunen (graphic designer))
The soundtrack of “Mistaken” has been composed to last through the entire film and its purpose is to examine how music in film is affecting the viewer. The idea of my thesis was to create an independent piece, which would also offer an opportunity to experience the film with or without the music. There are different scenes which are edited from the film and then remixed in a way that viewers can decide how they want to observe the scenes, with or without the music, and in the process they are going to see how the music really affects the movie.
The sound design for the film was made by Jussi Rantala.
