It interests me, how photography influences painting and how I use photography in my painting process. My master’s thesis is an art-based study combining theoretical research and artistic work. The artistic work consists of five paintings. I also research the relationship of photography and painting through history and other artists, whose work is influenced by this relationship. In my thesis, I also interpret the change in my paintings through the point of view of Maurice Merleau-Ponty´s phenomenological philosophy.
