Textile Art and Design

The subject of my thesis is tapestry and its contemporary interpretation. The inspiration to the tapestries arises from an intuitive sensation, which is non-verbal and unconscious. It has been interpreted to motifs with the help of a research method. The end results are the artworks, which have a strong material nature and vaguely image-related topics.

The textile works manufacturing process is industrial and the motifs differ from the traditional content of tapestry. The implementation of the artworks is executed by the industrial Jacquard technique in the Textiellab in Tilburg, Netherlands.
