This collection is the practical part of my Master’s Thesis that explores the processes of memory formation, transformation and de-formation through time as experienced in emotional attachment to pieces of clothing.

My thesis does not concentrate on the question of what we remember as individual stories but how we remember as collective phenomena. Memorizing is a process of sensory and emotional stimulation, recording and recalling. The concept of memory as reproduced and transformed through time forms the inspirational framework for the practical part of the thesis: a womenswear collection.

The collection explores and expresses memory through four media: material, color, silhouette and cut.

The ‘warmth’ evokes the comfort of a mother and the ‘fluid’ lines the mother’s ability to deal with anything. It is a beautiful outfit and is representative of the modern woman.
