Collaboration on an international level has increased the number of meetings held in Finland. Yet, very little effort has been put into the research of the meeting spaces. “The future congress center” shows how a new international meeting complex could look like in Kalasatama in Helsinki.

The employment of algorithmic code enables the development of a flexible structure. “The future congress center” creates a muscular landmark: the design combines a vertical hotel tower and a low congress center. The building makes a remarkable twist leaving the ground floor open for a public agora.
