A map-based multi-channel service for children’s education in national parks (Image credits: KU, JUNGHA)
Finnish national parks have been looking for a new service concept to preserve nature, promote outdoor activities, and contribute to the local economy by making the most of natural heritage. My thesis is about a concept design approach figuring out a service concept for children’s education. It proposes a map-based service for children’s excursions to national parks. It seamlessly connects their multisensory and hands-on experiences to learning in the classroom via multi-channel distribution. The final outcome includes a service concept and its business proposal.
