This diploma work is about finding an alternative way of upholstering furniture that takes into account the relationship between furniture, people and the environment.
String is an alternative to upholstery. It brings lightness and transparency to the chair. As a material, string is very light, eco-friendly and efficient, which means it provides maximum comfort using minimum material.
One of the most significant reasons why I decided to use strings was the fact that it involves handicraft during the production process, which can create job opportunities. Handicraft also adds personal touch, which can be enjoyed as warm feelings in the products at home.
