My thesis “Cinema of Three Bodies” explores how cinema is perceived as an embodied experience. We carry the camera on our shoulders (the filmmaker), perceive it as a humming projection on the wall (the viewer) or become aware of it as an observing machine (the subject). Cinema is perceived as an embodied experience. The work “Landscape for the Body” investigates how the body of the filmed subject can mediate the world around us. My graduation work “All the Houses We Live In” is a further investigation into the corporeal properties of filmmaking and in my role as a cinematographer I attempt to examine its effect on the viewer
