“Reflections” collection is inspired by water in its all forms - rain, ice, mist and the waves. Water is like a mirror. Reflections of a city at night paint the surface of water with bright tones and colors.
Water is closely related in textile manufacturing, production and usage. Without water there would not be any bright colored fabrics or clean clothes. However, the water is wasted and polluted during textile manufacturing processes.
My collection was designed and manufactured in Backhausen Interior Textiles in Austria. The company has developed a technique that enables to recycle their used fabrics back into high quality new fabrics.
The fabrics of "Reflections" are produced with Jacquard weaving technique. The complex technique combines mathematics and textile art to create interesting and evocative surfaces.
