The roots of ”Kanto” lie in the traditional Finnish summer sauna near a lake, where one is spending time close to nature. ”Kanto” is a natural part of its environment, integrating itself in the surrounding area. It is a wooden outdoor sauna, which is independent from water and power connections and is heated by a continuously wood-fired stove. ”Kanto” is a tool for togetherness and it increases communication in sauna. Through the circular shape of the seating, people can see into each other’s eyes while enjoying a sauna bath. 8-9 people can comfortably fit in at the same time. The sauna has been built with durable Finnish materials.
