The thesis explores the use of a tangible, physically demanding medium to communicate nuclear radiation information. The information is taken from Fukushima over the course of one year. There are two types of data conveyed, ethnographic accounts from people dealing with the situation in Fukushima, and radiation measurements taken by government sensors. The information is rendered audible. When you interact with the piece by pulling the elastic, the sound is released. However, the tension between body and elastic makes it physically difficult to maintain a steady flow of information.
