Finland in Space

The Finnish Astronautical Society (SATS) and Aalto University are organizing the Finland in Space seminar on Thursday 10th of May. The seminar will present Finnish space activities from the perspective of companies, research centers, universities and hobbyists. The event will take place in the Electrical engineering building main hall. The
Aalto-1 spring seminar will be held at the same time.

In the morning Christian Bridges from the Surrey Space Centre will hold a lecture on nanosatellite software challenges, after which students will hold presentations on the status of the Aalto-1 nanosatellite project. In the afternoon talks will be given by Space Systems Finland, the Finnish Meteorological Institute, and Tekes. The Finnish Astronautical Society will also present its hybrid rocket activities.

The seminar is concluded by coffee and cake, after which participants can move to Rantasauna for more informal discussion. More detailed schedule is available athttp://www.sats-saff.fi/SuomiAvaruudessa2012
