Cruise & Ferry Experience Theme Day
The theme day includes a pop-up exhibition displaying world-famous Finnish ship-design, a workshop innovating safety of passenger ships, and a seminar.
The last of May is the theme day of the Cruise and Ferry Experience study program in MoA’12. The Cruise and Ferry Experience program has provided multi-disciplinary education in the Passenger Ship Architecture course since 2007.
The theme day includes a pop-up exhibition displaying world-famous Finnish ship-design: the research done at Aalto University being a part of it. During the Safety as sensation workshop a multi-disciplinary team innovates safety of passenger ships with themes of naturalness, design and service. The workshop is part of the development project Kaleidoskooppi, which develops innovation in marine industry. The day ends with the Cruise & Ferry Experience seminar presenting the future of education and research of ship-design and visions on the future of passenger ships.
